Prices for Commissions:
Portrait/Figure
I will paint your portrait from life in the size you prefer, sizes 11 x 14 or larger. The price for a three hour pose begins at $400 and goes up with larger sizes. For a portrait using photo reference, one sitting if possible, preliminary sketches, and one revision, not to exceed 10 hours of work, I will charge for the smallest size $600. The prices go up as the painting size becomes larger, or if you have more than one figure in the painting.
Seascape or other subjects
I will paint a seascape, still life or landscape sizes 12 x 16 or larger. The price for the smallest size is $600; I will go on location, photo, sketch and paint several smaller works; you may preview them and choose one image from among the sketches and photos. Or, you may send me photos of your choice and I will paint the smallest size for $400. The larger the painting, the higher the price.
References
If you require reference for my work, I can send names of clients to you. I am happy to paint children, but prefer to use photo reference in addition to live sittings; you may also provide me with photos of your choosing.
